It's so special to watch a family grow and be able to help them preserve some of their history by creating treasured family portraits. I had the privileged of photographing these little angles in my early days as a professional photographer in Singapore when the twins were only days old. It it was an absolute joy working with them again but this one wasn't easy...
I had grand ideas to frame the family in the enormous palms & foliage that are so typical to Singapore in one of the most beautiful parks at Pasir Ris. But 5 mins into the shoot, it started pelting down, I mean torrential rain. Plan B got us back to the family home with everyone drenched. Mum's blow wave was history but the girls perked up after a little snack and 5 mins under the hair dryer.
I captured some amazing images of the girls on swings and a Chinese style chair placed on the deck but we lost a lot of light due to the time of day. I ended up scheduling a fill in session the next day I am so happy we went back to the park. It's an amazing backdrop, perfect for this family of four gorgeous curly-haired little cup cakes.
